Week 13: South Strip

The class headed south this week.  After breakfast, we all met up at the Tropicana and from their put our individual plans into action.  This week I needed to knock out several casinos for my final project, so I started at the Trop, then went to MGM, across the street to NYNY and to each casino south from there, 6 in total.  I got a lot of good photographs that you will have to wait to see, but I also got a few cool architecture stills to share, enjoy!

Week 12: Paradise Palms

This week we walked around the neighborhoods surrounding the National Golf Course.  Paradise Palms is one of the oldest neighborhoods and is where many of the well to do and celebrities of mid 20th century Las Vegas chose to call to call home.  The architecture and detail truly dated the neighborhood and was refreshing to see.  Many of the houses had a unique style which is missing in today's cookie cutter housing developments.  Here is a brief tour, enjoy!

Week 11: Water Street, Henderson

I had never been in old Henderson before so this was a treat.  What wasn't a treat was the heat.  I got a little red on our walk today, but it was a nice shoot.  Here are a few of the captures I made of the area.

Week 10: Futuristic Fun: The Cosmo and City Center

This week we explored The Cosmopolitan and City Center.  I was excited because I would be able to capture a lot of light fixtures.  What I found more impressive was the use of natural light throughout City Center.  I loved the architecture and angles, it seemed everywhere you turned there was something worth photographing.  Here are a few examples, enjoy.
