Beginning of Summer

Today, I went on a small shoot around Sunset Park in Henderson, NV.  I was quite surprised how many children were there on a Monday afternoon.  I walked around the lake shooting anything that caught my attention.  Some areas of the park were very nice and other parts were distressing.  Here are a few photos from my walk, enjoy.

Final Project: Las Vegas Illuminated

This are the images I have collected throughout the semester for my final project.  I didn't figure out my theme until half through the semester so half of them images you have already seen, but I did do a re-edit on them.  For some reason the lighting and chandeliers in the casinos caught my attention.  I did extreme close-ups to abstract their true form.  I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed taking them.

Week 15: Bonus Shoot- The Linq

Our class was enjoying our Thursday morning shoots so much our teacher added a bonus week.  We went to the newly opened Linq near the High Roller.  There is all kinds of eatery's and shops to explore plus it is the home of the new High Roller Ferris wheel.  I am not keen on heights, but I sucked it up and joined the group on the 30 minute sky ride.  Excluding the few moments of nausea I experienced I am so glad I went.  The ride gives you a totally new perspective on Las Vegas.  Her as a few of the shoots I like the most, enjoy.

Week 14: Downtown 3rd Go Around

This week we explored the revitalization of downtown Las Vegas.  It seems each time we go, there are new things to see and discover.  Our eyes seem to be drawn in a different direction with each visit.  The downtown of today is not the downtown of a decade ago.  There are street side cafes and art for public consumption.  Don't get me wrong, there is still a lot of work to be done, but the area definitely is improving.  Here are a few things that caught my eye on this trip, enjoy.
