Week 8: Las Vegas Blvd near White Cross Drugs

This week's shoot took us to Las Vegas Blvd between the Strip and Downtown.  I haven't yet done an extra session, but I do have a couple extra pictures that were not posted to Facebook.  This area seems to be my nemesis.  Last semester, I had a hard time finding subject matter that caught my eye and the same was true for this semester.  Here are a few of my captures, enjoy.

Week Seven: Life Happens

Well folks, I was hoping to go out and shoot some extras during this past week, but life happened.  This week's shoot was still done in black and white, but the focus was on capturing people.  This is one area I am not totally comfortable with yet, so I tend to use sneak attacks.  Here are a few of my prisoners, enjoys.

Week Five: City Center

This week our class strolled City Center.  The architecture and natural lighting is amazing.  Each time I shoot this particular area I wonder at the ingenuity that went into the design.  Here are a few of my favorite shots, enjoy.

Week Four: SLS +

This week our group toured the newest Las Vegas casino, SLS.  I wasn't terribly impressed but the outer perimeter and surrounding areas were fun to shoot.   Here are a few of my captures, enjoy!

Week Three: First Shoot in Prime Document, Fremont Experience

Well the semester has officially started with our first shoot.  It is amazing how it does not matter how many times you visit the downtown area there is always something new to shoot.  Our professor has thrown a twist at us this semester requiring the first six location shoots we do to be processed in black and white.  Also, in Prime Document you choose a standard prime lens ( I chose a 50mm) to use and that is the only lens you can use throughout the semester.  I did not realize how much I had become dependent on a zoom, now my body has to be the zoom, makes for a little more work, but it is so much fun.  Here are a few of my favorite captures from our shoot, enjoy.
